Rewards/Incentives

Each month, you will receive information regarding PBIS, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. This month, your child can earn a variety of incentives through the PBIS program for demonstrating respectful, responsible, and safe behavior.

Monthly Rewards: Coloring pages, 15-minutes of iPad time, juice box

1:1:1 Reward (1 or less unlawful absences, missing assignments and discipline referrals): Inspirational graffiti wall

Cafeteria prizes vary based on the number of times classes were rewarded for respectful, responsible, and safe behaviors.

Family Resources

All children display challenging behavior at home on occasion. The Center for Evidence-Based Practice: Young Children with Challenging Behavior provided some strategies to try at home:

• Set realistic expectations
• Plan ahead based on your child's needs
• Clearly state expectations in advance
• Offer limited, reasonable choices
• Use "when...then" statements
• Catch your child being good
• Stay calm
• Use neutral time to discuss behavior
